Deputy Director of Parking Operations | The City of Columbia and Parking Services

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 Closing Date: June 22, 2025 Summary: The Deputy Director of Parking Services supports the daily operations and overall management of parking facilities and surface lots, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective services for residents, merchants, and visitors. This role leads a diverse, customer-focused team and fosters a culture of teamwork, integrity, and collaboration aligned with the City of Columbia’s service standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing policies and technologies, coordinating budgets, conducting audits and analyses of parking data, and supporting strategic planning efforts. The Deputy Director also engages with City leadership, handles inquiries, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance with laws and city policies. The role requires physical and mental acuity, occasional standing or walking, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with shifting goals and priorities.

Transportation Planner/TDM Program Manager | NC State University
 Salary Range: $60,000 - $72,000 Closing Date: June 5, 2025 Summary: The Transportation Planner/TDM Program Manager at NC State University plays a key role in advancing the university’s Transportation Planning and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) efforts, supporting sustainable mobility across campus. Reporting to the Transportation Planning Manager and co-funded by the Central Pines Regional Council, this position develops and implements strategies that encourage alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle use—such as carpooling, transit, biking, walking, and micro-mobility—while also overseeing programs like GoPass, EV charging, shared mobility, and bus/bike infrastructure. The role includes securing funding, analyzing program data, managing vendor relationships, supervising student interns, and advising leadership on planning and policy decisions. It also requires regular coordination with campus and regional partners, promotion of TDM initiatives through outreach and events, and a commitment to smart growth and innovative, multimodal solutions that support the university’s long-term sustainability goals.
