CPMA Board of Directors Nominations

Three (3) Regular Members* and one (1) Affiliate Member* Board of Directors positions are open for nomination.

Why run for the board?

Time Commitment

  • CPMA is a working board. Members at Large may expect to spend 5-10 hours monthly working on CPMA committee obligations and outreach. Officer position time commitments vary.
  • 3 Year Term
  • Monthly Board of Directors meeting via Zoom
  • Winter/Spring Board of Directors In-Person Retreat 
  • CPMA Annual Conference 

Financial Commitment

  • CPMA does not pay for or reimburse board members for membership, registration, travel, hotel, or meals.
  • Board member obligations related to CPMA may be financially supported by an employer or paid for personally. 

Other Requirements

  • Nominees must be current CPMA members and live in North or South Carolina.

Election Timeline

  • July 27: Call for Nominations Open
  • August 12: Call for Nominations Closes
  • August 17: Voting Begins
  • September 3: Voting Ends
  • September 16: Official Election Results Announced at 2026 Annual Conference & Expo in Greenville, South Carolina
  • October-December: Board Member Transition Meetings
  • January 1, 2027: Newly elected Board Members begin 3-year term.
Regular Members are defined in CPMA's bylaws as representatives of municipalities, government bodies, parking authorities, boards, bureaus, commissions, departments, colleges, universities, airports, hospitals, agencies, or similar institutions responsible for the establishment, operation, maintenance, control, or direction of parking and/or transportation assets or services, and who support the Association's objectives. Regular Members are typically professionals employed by public, institutional, or nonprofit organizations involved in parking, transportation, and mobility.
* Affiliate Members are defined in CPMA's bylaws as representatives of corporations or individuals engaged in supplying goods or services in the parking field or involved in the operation and development of public parking, whether for profit or otherwise, and who support the Association's objectives. Affiliate Members may be considered vendors or consultants.
